A Quick Overview of Renewal by Andersen® Window Warranties

If you want to make the most of your window replacement, you’ll need to consider not just the framing material and glass used by your new windows but their warranty coverage as well. As a premier replacement window contractor, Renewal by Andersen® of Rapid City can add an extra layer of protection to your investment via our solid window warranties. Here’s a quick look:

20-Year Warranty on Glass

Our Renewal by Andersen replacement windows is equipped with advanced High-Performance™ Low-E4® SmartSun™ glass. It helps keep your home thermally comfortable by preventing heat from transferring into your rooms in summer, and by stopping valuable heating energy from escaping your home in winter. This glass is warranted to remain free of defects in manufacturing, materials, and workmanship for a period of 20 years from the original installation date. Not only that but it’s warranted not to develop (under normal conditions) any material obstruction of vision or broken glass caused by manufacturing defects or premature glass or seal failure.

20-Year Warranty on Fibrex® Material Components

Renewal by Andersen windows uses a revolutionary composite material, Fibrex, for sashes and frames. It combines the strength and insulating properties of wood with the low-maintenance value of the vinyl. Any window component made of Fibrex, including the frame, sash, and exterior grille, is guaranteed not to flake, rust, blister, peel, crack, pit, or corrode; and to be free from any defects in manufacturing, materials, and workmanship for a period of 20 years from the original installation date.

2-Year Warranty on Window Installation

Workmanship coverage is also included in our window warranties. In fact, the labor is warranted for a period of two years. Should the windows fail to perform according to manufacturer specifications due to incorrect installation, we’ll bring the workmanship up to our professional standards, at no cost to you. Note that this coverage is only viable when the installation is performed by a certified window installation company like Renewal by Andersen of Rapid City.

10-Year Warranty on Window Accessories and Exterior Color Finish

As for the non-glass components of your Renewal by Andersen windows, such as non-electric operators, locks, lifts, balance systems, hinges, handles, insect screens, weatherstripping, sash, and frame members, they’re warranted to be free from defects in manufacturing, materials, and workmanship for a period of 10 years from the original installation date. The same applies for the exterior color finish you chose for your windows.
